River level & forecast      River level @Vida 1.48ft.  2,610 cfs. water temp 56.8 degrees.  Fishing has been  Good in the lower river below Leaburg Dam down to Hayden Bridge.     Brown Caddis, Little Olive Stones, Pale Morning Duns and some Golden Stones along with a few Green Drakes.  Nymph fishing has being pretty good using a  Golden Stone nymph with a BH Flashback Pheasant Tail nymph or a BH Prince as the dropper fly.  Steelhead are starting to show.

Suggested Trout patterns for the month of June:   Surface Hatches:    Golden Stones, Green Drakes,  Little Yellow Stones, Little Olive Stones,  McKenzie Caddis and Pale Morning Duns.

Best surface patterns:   Norm Wood Special #6-8, Sofa Pillows #4, Clark Stones #6, Large Yellow Comparadun  #12, Brown Elk Hair Caddis #12-14,  Peacock Caddis #12-16, Green Drake Dun #8-10,  Olive Stimulators #14, Yellow Stimulators #14.

Best nymph patterns:  BH Fox Squirrel nymphs 12-14, GB Flashback Pheasant Tail Nymphs #14-18,  March Brown soft hackle #12-14, Green bodied soft hackle #12-14,  GB FB Hare's Ear Nymph #10-14, Prince Nymphs #12-18, Zug Bug #12-16, Cased Caddis#14-16,  Golden Stones #6-10

River Level & Forecast   Fishing has been Good. River Flows: Madras @ 3,960cfs. @ 53.4 degrees.  Moody @ 4,830cfs. The stonefly action is peaking out but fish will still take them for at least another week.   Fish are taking Norm Wood Specials and Clark Stones.   There has been strong hatches of  Pale Morning Dun and Pale Evening Duns. Tan, Brown and Olive Caddis are out and about.  A few Green Drakes are out also.  Nymphing wise, go to smaller nymph patterns. Suggested...... Read More
