The Fall is a fun fall/winter fishery.?? Trout stay active all winter and since this river is a spring creek, you can still see hatches even on cold days with banks full of snow, especially when the sun is out.?? Native and hatchery trout and a few migratory Deschutes Browns call the Fall home.????Mahogany duns, BWOs, midges, and a few caddis??are prominent.?? Attractor patterns can be good too.?? Swinging small wooly buggers can get you a 20+" fish.?? Make sure you check out "The Tubes," the hatchery area, and around the campground.?? Stealthy fishermen do the best. ??Its best to hit the the Fall when the sun is out and the weather is stable.??

DRIES:??BWO cripple, midges, little green / black stone,??Coachman, Purple haze

NYMPHS: BWOs, small stoneflie nymphs, #20 red and black midge patterns, hares ear, green rock worm.
