Fall Chinook fishing is starting to pick up and anglers are catching some nice fish every day. Fishing should continue to improve through the month of September as more fish move into the tidewater waiting for the fall rain.

Trout fishing in streams closes on Oct. 31. Cutthroat trout are abundant and can be found throughout the Alsea basin. Check the regulations for open areas and gear restrictions.
