The Trask is between runs. Fall Chinook are pretty much done with most hatchery fish having spawned or being ready to. There is no retention of wild Chinook on the Trask for the remainder of 2022. The hatchery coho run is also done for the most part.

Winter steelhead won’t show up in any numbers on the Trask until mid-December. The Trask does not have any hatchery steelhead releases so most of fish will be wild and therefore, catch-and-release only. There are a few hatchery strays that show up in the Trask, but again number will be low and it’s still early.

Cutthroat trout fishing closed on Oct. 31. It will reopen May 22, 2023.
