With cooler weather, the river has dropped again

With cooler weather, the river has dropped again, and angler success catching steelhead has been mixed. Swinging flies and drifting nymphs has been effective for fly anglers, and jigs drifted under bobbers works well for anglers using spinning rods or bait casters.

Detroit Reservoir: Refilling the reservoir for the summer will begin on Feb. 1
Santiam River ( North Fork) : The river is currently running at around 2,900 cfs at the gage in Mahama
Santiam River ( North Fork) Above Detroit Lake: Currently, flows are over 750 cfs
Santiam River (South Fork): Flows are currently at around 2,050 cfs at the gage in Waterloo
Campbell Reservoir: The reservoir is likely freezing
Fourmile Lake: Access could be blocked by snow
Gerber Reservoir: The reservoir should be freezing
Upper Klamath Lake: The lake is starting to freeze in some locations especially Shoalwater and Howard Bay

Lake Of The Woods: The lake is starting to freeze
Link River : Redband Trout are in the river in very low numbers
Lost River: Water quality is fair
Miller Lake: Access is unknown. You might encounter too much snow
Sprague River- North Fork: Water tempeartures will be approaching freezing
Sprague River- South Fork : Fishing will be best near Corral and Camp Creeks for brook trout
Sycan River: Fishing above the marsh would normally be the best
Thief Valley Reservoir: Thief Valley Reservoir is over 90 percent full
Once frozen over Walton Lake can provide excellent ice-fishing opportunities
