Fishing has been typical for the "Clack" this time of year.??We are looking at great flows, warming water temps, but a lack of fish.??Seems like the same story as in past early summers.??While it has not been fast and furious of late, we maintain it only takes one.??So anglers getting out on the water and searching are finding a fish or two.

There are two basic schools of thought for Steelhead fishing the Clackamas right now.??Stay with the sink tip and fish slow and deep, or unincumber yourself and enjoy the summer fishing with a floating line.??Think about tying on your favorite Muddler Minnow pattern in a size 2 and let her rip.??Fish everything, minus the big deep pools, and you might be pleasantly surprised.
