Fall Chinook fishing is winding down on the Siuslaw and Lake Creek. There is still a chance at intercepting a late Chinook but the run is pretty much done for the 2021 season.

***Reminder*** There is no wild coho retention in the Siuslaw for the 2021 season. Please practice good catch-and-release for wild coho, keep them in the water and release immediately.

Winter steelhead will start showing up in the Siuslaw system in early December. The majority of the hatchery fish in the basin are headed to Whitaker Creek and this area provides the best opportunity to catch an early returning winter steelhead. There is also a small hatchery release in Lake Creek (located at Green Creek) which provides some opportunity to catch winter steelhead from Dec-March.

Trout fishing in streams closed on Oct. 31.
