Anglers report excellent spring fishing for 14-18" trout at Lava Lake with some trout over 20 inches being caught. Anglers should note that Tui Chub trapping has begun at Lava Lake. Please do not snag hooks on chub nets and give staff room to acess and empty the nets.

Open to fishing all year.
