Please be aware that Upper Smith River above Spencer Creek and North Fork Smith rivers above Johnson cr. Bridge are open for catch-and-release only for trout.

Smallmouth bass and striped bass are being caught in the tidewater sections. There are no harvest limits on any bass in the Smith River. There is also good access for angling since the Smith River Road follows the mainstem for most of the time.
